ESSAY PAPER (UPSC MAINS-2020)

 UPSC MAINS ESSAY PAPER has recently been conducted by UPSC. the question paper is a unconventional with lot of question coming from  ETHICS and PHILOSOPHY. There is one question from women(PATRIARCHY)  as regular and one question from economics(GDP VS DEVELOPMENT DEBATE). some question are very tough like CULTURE AND CIVILISATION question and MINDFUL MANIFESTO. Have a look at question paper;-


SECTION A

1. Life is a long journey between human being and being humane.

2. Mindful manifesto is the catalyst to a tranquil self.

3. Ships do not sink because of water around them, ships sink because of water that gets into them.

4. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

SECTION B

1.Culture is what we are, civilisation is what we have.

2. There can be no social justice without economic prosperity but economic prosperity without social justice is meaningless.

3. Patriarchy is the least noticed yet the most significant structure of social inequality.

4. Technology as the silent factor in international relations.

I am studying college 3rd year my age is 19 what age can I attend UPSC exam prelim and mains can I attend at age of 19 if not at least can I study for UPSC at age 19

To give UPSC(CSE) EXAM you have to be atleast 21 year old. And based on your category you can give attempt for eg- general category has 6 attempt and 32 year age limit.Its a good thing to start preparing for it early because the preparation require one and half year.So by 21 year you are ready to give exam with confidence and probably clear it like TINA DHABI.   To see syllabus of prelims click here--> Prelims (syllabus)
